The second edition of Red’s Roundup.
February can feel long, even though it is the shortest month of the year. We are over winter, but it still very much feels like winter (at least in the midwest). My family found ourselves playing games, watching some classics like The Golden Girls, and planning our garden for this summer.
With the days getting longer it does feel like spring is just around the corner! I hope you enjoy my roundup of favorites from this month.

- Blush Fox & Hedgehog Sweatshirt – Super cute crew neck sweatshirt for kids. I bought Meredith, our 2-year-old the one with foxes and hedgehogs on it, and I really like it. It is fairly lightweight, but a nice sweatshirt option without a hood.
- Garden Answer YouTube channel – I found this channel sometime last year and I’ve been obsessed ever since. Laura and Aaron have an incredible garden and are full of knowledge and ideas. They are my go-to when I’m wondering about a specific garden or plant question! We are in full-on garden planning mode, so we have been doing a lot of learning lately!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz – I have tried many different brow pencils through the years, and I think this is my very favorite. The tip is very small, making it easy to create fine, hair-like strokes. It has a brush on the other end to blend. It does not leave any clumps or excess product, which makes it look natural. I use the color “caramel”, but it comes in 12 different colors!
- Stonewear Family Planter – Apparently I am into pots where I can make my plants look like hair (2 on my list this month)! They have so much personality and my kids think they are hilarious. This specific planter is the 8″ planter in Light Brown. The “family” comes in 3 sizes and 3 different colors. I named our planter Pamela.
- OXO Dressing Shaker – I have been making a lot of our own dressing lately, and I really like this container. I can make the dressing directly in the container, shake it up, then open the spout to pour. It keeps just fine in the fridge for a few days too. If the oils solidify, just set it out a little bit before you need to use the dressing, or run it under warm water for a minute and it will mix right back up when you shake the container.
- Yeti Rambler in Seafoam: Love the color of this insulated mug. It keeps my coffee and tea hot, which has been very much needed this month! Lots of color options, but I am partial to anything seafoam.
- Spot It Party Game: Fun game for kids and adults. My 8 and 5-year-olds are both able to play, which sometimes is hard to find games that fit this bill! Lots of laughs during this game.
- Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza – Another fun game! It is very easy to learn and one round only takes about 10 minutes, which is nice when you are looking for something to fill a little time. Both of our older children can easily play this. Our 2-year-old has fun saying the words 🙂 Apparently, a lot of other people are loving this one too, based on the reviews!
- Gauze Knot Headband – When looking for a way to change up an outfit, try a headband! They elevate your look, and can fix a bad hair day! I like this knotted headband in a gold-mustard color.
- Anthro Grecian Bust Pot – I don’t know what it is about a bust pot, but I think they are so funny! I like to have some random decor mixed in with my more traditional pieces. I think it’s a little unexpected and quirky, which is fun. You could also stuff her with wooden spoons in a kitchen, markers or art supplies, or of course give her different hairstyles with plants.
- How It’s Made – Nothing new, but as we browsed shows this month looking for anything different, we remembered how much we liked this show. It is a nice change of pace from typical “kid-friendly” cartoon-type shows. Adults and kids all like it = WIN! Who wouldn’t want to learn how to make surfboards, neon lights, and chocolate?
- Kitsch Frayed Blush Brunch Scrunchie – Put the word “brunch” before anything and it sounds appealing. I really like this scrunchie because it takes a regular hair accessory and levels it up. The color is pretty, the frayed look adds interest/texture, and it is plenty stretchy to fit around my top knot!
- Kids 3-Piece Knife Set – I bought this set for our kids to help chop! I love to get them involved in cooking and getting our meals ready, and these knives work great for anything soft. They are not too sharp so you don’t have to worry about injuries, but will cut through apples, strawberries, bananas, turkey, and other soft foods.
- Native Deodorant – This is the first natural deodorant I’ve tried that actually works! I bought the Coconut & Vanilla, which smells great. It is also available at Target!
- Chamomile with Lavender Tea – I have been drinking this tea at night before bed and it is really good. It has a nice flavor, and both chamomile and lavender are calming before bed.
There is my February Roundup! I hope you found something you want to check out or ideas about what to watch or play. Let me know what you’re up to!
Celeste
