Have you ever ordered from the Starbucks “Secret” Menu? It is fun to read about different concoctions people have come up with. You may have heard of the Medicine Ball, originally invented by a customer! A soothing blend of teas, honey, and lemon. If you have a sore throat or cough, a Medicine Ball is the perfect comforting beverage. I will share my Starbucks Medicine Ball Recipe in this post.

This blend of teas is very simple to make and will save you a lot of money. When I am not feeling well, I make two or three cups a day! The sweet peach combined with the soothing honey and refreshing mint is a delicious combination.
Thankfully, these flavors of tea are very easy to find too. I have found them at any grocery store, and also on Amazon. They are even sold as a set on Amazon because of the popularity of this drink! Typically, the teas are less expensive at the grocery store, but it is nice to have options.
Read below for directions on how to make a Starbucks Medicine Ball. Additionally, check out my tips for alternative ingredients, and how making a special cup of tea can be an item on your JOY List.
How to Make a Medicine Ball

Ingredient List:
Peach Tea Bag
Mint Tea Bag
Lemonade
Honey
This is the basic list of ingredients, but there are many variations you can choose if you wish. I will share the steps to make the tea but feel free to experiment with the brands of tea and ratio of ingredients. The goal is to make it taste delicious to you!
There are numerous brand options of peach and mint tea. The Starbucks Medicine Ball uses Teavana, however, I have used a variety of brands through the years. They have all tasted great, in my opinion. Links to several options are below!
The main flavor goal of the tea is PEACH + MINT.
Teavana Set ┃Good & Gather Peach ┃Good & Gather Mint
Celestial Seasonings Peach ┃Harney & Sons Peppermint ┃Tazo Peachy Green
Side Note: We really love Harney & Sons teas. Every single one we have tried we loved! I included the Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea on my January Red’s Roundup as it is one of our all-time favorites!

Directions:
1. Heat 8 oz. of water, and steep one peach teabag and one mint teabag in the water.
2. Heat 8 oz. of lemonade, then add to the steeped tea.
3. Stir in 1 Tbsp. of honey until dissolved.
4. Squeeze juice from half of a lemon into the tea. Stir.
I typically leave the teabags in the mug while I am enjoying my tea. If you wish to reuse the teabags, you can simply add half water and half lemonade to your cup, heat it up, add honey, and enjoy a second cup! The tea will be slightly less strong the second time, but I find it still has quite a bit of flavor.

Tips:
- Adjust the amount of water, based on the mug you wish to use. The goal is approximately 1/2 water (with 2 teabags) and 1/2 lemonade.
- I like to use Simply Light Lemonade because it has less sugar than regular lemonade.
- If you do not have lemonade or do not want any added sugar besides the natural honey, you can substitute a couple of drops of lemon essential oil, and increase the water to the full size of your mug. Or just use the juice of one whole lemon, instead of half.
- The Starbucks Medicine Ball exact recipe includes one pump of peppermint flavor to their tea. If you have peppermint flavor, you can add this as well. A drop of peppermint essential oil is another option to up the mint factor!
As a result of the unique, soothing blend of flavors, this tea can help calm a sore throat and open up nasal passageways. Try it out the next time you are not feeling well. I hope it lifts your spirits!
Finally, making a special drink, such as the Starbucks Medicine Ball, is one of the ways I find JOY when feeling a bit down. Check out my post for other ideas about how to find joy when you are having a hard day. Creating your own JOY List can make a world of a difference in your daily life!
